Glossaries of terms from specific fields, by the Welsh Government Translation Service and others
These glossaries are published for the convenience of those who would benefit from seeing collections of terms in these fields. Glossaries published in CSV format can be added to termbases in translation memory systems.
You can also find all the terms in these lists, and their supporting data, in TermCymru.
Because these are lists produced on specific dates there may be some inconsistencies between the data in these files and the data in TermCymru, although we will try to keep such inconsistencies to a minimum. Where there is inconsistency between the data in these lists and the data in TermCymru, you should consider that the information in TermCymru is the most up-to-date and valid.
All these resources are released under the Open Government Licence (OGL).
Race and ethnicity terms
A glossary of selected terms by the Working Group on Welsh Terminology in the field of Race and Ethnicity Equality, established by the Welsh Government’s Cymraeg 2050 Division, including usage notes for discussing issues of Race and Ethnicity in Welsh. Published in February 2023.

COVID-19 key terms
A glossary of terms that arose in the work of the Welsh Government Translation Service in relation to COVID-19 between February 2019 and February 2021. Note that these terms were standardised to different degrees, and the status of each term in the list is recorded in the list to reflect this. A link is provided on the right of this page to an explanation of the status regime.
