Clwb Ieuenctid Derwen – Gwynedd Youth Services

Clwb Ieuenctid Derwen is an after school project which was set up for young people with disabilities to ensure the same opportunities as other young people who attended mainstream clubs.
The project has been a significant step for those who attend, and has empowered them to build their confidence and engage with other young people. The project aims to offer a safe and flexible learning environment with each day’s activities chosen by the young people themselves.
The judges loved reading about this project and the work that went into providing the young people with the same opportunities as their peers. They highlighted it as a very inclusive project adapting to individuals’ needs.
