An annual report which includes information on rents paid in the private rented sector in 2018.

The report represents the average, lower, median and upper quartiles of rent paid in Wales by number of bedrooms. Information is presented for Wales nationally and also at local authority level. The data used in the report was collected in the 12 months up to the end of December 2018.

The information shown in the release is based on rental data provided to us by individual private landlords and letting agents. Rents on properties where it is known housing benefit is claimed have been excluded from this report.

The statistics presented in the report are based on data which has not been adjusted to produce statistics representative of the private rental property market mix in Wales.
