Information on rents paid in the private rented sector in 2019.
This is the latest release in the series: Private sector rents
The report represents the average, lower, median and upper quartiles of rent paid in Wales by number of bedrooms. Information is presented for Wales nationally and also at local authority level. The data used in the report was collected in the 12 months up to the end of December 2019.
The information shown in the report is based on rental data provided to us by individual private landlords and letting agents. The information is based only on transactional data where rent has been paid and excludes cases where housing benefit was known to be in payment.
The statistics presented in the report are based on data which has not been adjusted to produce statistics representative of the private rental property market mix in Wales. Due to variations in the composition of the sample, the resulting simple averages are not comparable across areas or over time.
