Local Broadband Fund overview
We have made funding available to support local authorities and social enterprises to deliver broadband projects locally. This is one part of our work to help make sure everyone has access to fast and reliable digital infrastructure.
The fund allowed local authorities and social enterprises to deliver innovative broadband solutions to communities and parts of Wales which do not currently have access to 30Mbps broadband speeds with the fund.
What to do if you are a resident or business
Check with your local authority to find out if they have plans for broadband roll-out in your area using our Local Broadband Fund.
Some local authorities now have broadband engagement officers who can help you with your connectivity questions. The local authorities are:
- Anglesey
- Carmarthenshire
- Ceredigion
- Denbighshire
- Gwynedd
- Pembrokeshire
- Powys
- Rhondda Cynon Taf
- Wrexham
If your local authority is not listed above, please contact them directly.
If there are no local plans for your area there may be other options available to you for faster broadband. Visit our ‘Get funding for faster broadband’ page.
