A Traineeship Level 1 through training provider PeoplePlus Cymru – Merthyr Centre kick-started 17-year-old’s Marcio Paixo’s career, a placement with Lazarou Bros barbers quickly developed under salon owner Andreas.
Born in Portugal, as an eight-year-old Marcio moved to Merthyr Tydfil to live with his aunt. Bullying at primary and senior school failed to hinder his academic success as he left with eight A-C GCSEs. Marcio is now enrolled on a Foundation Apprenticeship with Lazarou Bros and a portfolio of advanced client cuts now sits alongside a burgeoning modelling career.
