Details
The effect of the Order is to impose a 40 mph speed limit on a length of the A487 trunk road known as Cardigan Bypass, Ceredigion in the interests of road safety. A temporary 40 mph speed limit is currently in place along this length of trunk road and is generally well respected by drivers and the collision rate is relatively low. Following a speed limit review it has been decided that the imposition of a permanent 40 mph speed limit is appropriate at this location as it is on the approaches to a junction controlled by traffic lights.
