All data relate to April 2019 to March 2020, before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Main points
- 15% of 11 to 25 year olds (82,766) were registered members of statutory youth work provision in 2019-20 a similar proportion compared with the previous year.
- At March 2020, there were around 719 full-time equivalent youth work management and delivery staff working across local authorities in Wales.
- The total income for youth work provision in 2019-20 was £37.7 million and total expenditure was £37.5 million; both saw an increase compared with 2018-19.
