Following the publication of the Welsh Government response to the Teifi Valley Local Growth Zone Task and Finish Group report in July, I am now setting up a further Task and Finish Group to oversee the implementation of the Welsh Government response and to establish the Local Growth Zone. The Group will exist for eighteen months.
The Teifi Valley Local Growth Zone Implementation Group will support the work to establish the Local Growth Zone and provide me with advice on emerging issues and opportunities.
I have invited the Chair of the previous Teifi Valley Local Growth Zone Task and Finish Group, Delyth Humfryes MBE, to Chair the new Group in order to provide continuity and maintain momentum. The Group will be comprised of individuals with knowledge of the Teifi Valley locality and economy and will utilise its understanding of local dynamics and drivers to steer the establishment of the Zone.
The Chair will consider the skills; knowledge and experience required to support this work and will advise me on membership of the Group. The first meeting of the Group will take place in early 2015.
