In June I published a consultation document setting out our proposals for the restructuring of the delivery and funding of adult learning in Wales.   I am today publishing a summary of the responses to the consultation.

The consultation closed on 11 September; a total of 316 written responses were received.

I would like to thank all those who contributed to the consultation for their views and helping to shape the next stage of our proposals.  There were some clear areas of consensus and some areas where more work is needed to find a solution that will work for all learners in Wales.

It is clear from the range of responses that we received that one model of delivery may not work for all parts of Wales.  As such, I have asked my officials to work closely with providers across the regions to develop a policy that will ensure we have a system of delivery and funding in place that secures this vital provision for the future; and that delivers fairly and equitably for all adult learners in Wales who need our support.
