A consultation document on draft good practice guidance ‘Information and Guidance on Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence: Safeguarding Older People (60+) in Wales’ has been published on the Welsh Government website.
The consultation relates to guidance to be issued under section 60 of the Government of Wales Act 2006. This guidance has been developed in partnership with the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales.
The consultation will run for 12 weeks until 29 February 2016. It is crucial that the views of stakeholders inform future development of this guidance and I will consider these carefully prior to publishing a final version of the guidance.
