Today, I am publishing a summary of responses to the recent technical consultation on the draft Valuation for Rating (Wales) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021.

The draft Regulations concern the treatment of certain non-domestic rating appeals in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.  The consultation opened for six weeks on 16 August and closed on 27 September.  No issues were raised concerning the technical aspects of the regulations.  The summary of responses is available at: https://gov.wales/draft-valuation-rating-wales-coronavirus-regulations-2021

I intend to make Regulations as set out in the consultation in the near future.  I also intend to lay a Legislative Consent Motion in the Senedd, in respect of provisions in the Rating (Coronavirus) and Directors Disqualification (Dissolved Companies) Bill, which apply to Wales, as soon as feasibly possible.
