Members will wish to be aware that as of Wednesday 24th March the operator of the Baglan Energy Park power station, Baglan Operating Limited, will be placed into Official Receivership.
This will be a difficult time for the company it’s employees and their families. My officials will work with the insolvency service and partners over the coming period to support the company and its employees.
Officials are working with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council on a multiagency approach to mitigate the impact of the company’s decision on the organisations resident on the park.
The affected businesses have been informed by the company of their decision and my officials are working with the Official Receiver to maintain continuity of energy supply to the park.
