Rebecca Evans MS, Minister for Finance and Local Government
Following a recent public appointments campaign, I am pleased to announce the appointment of three new Non-Executive Directors to the Board of the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA): Rheon Tomos, Mary Champion and Jim Scopes.
Between them, they bring a considerable wealth of experience to the WRA board. Rheon Tomos is a qualified accountant and has held senior positions at the Audit Commission and Deloitte before working independently and as a Partner of TDE Associates. Mary Champion has wide-ranging experience of delivery, assurance, governance and commercial leadership, established with both government and private sector organisations. Jim Scopes has over 30 years’ experience within the public and private sectors as both a management consultant and civil servant. I look forward to working with them and the other members of the Board.
The length of their tenure will be up to 3 years (initial appointment), with the possibility for a second term of office. These appointments are remunerated.
