It considers patterns of employment and productivity in terms of the historical trend and future projections for the growth and decline of industries and occupations, and the implications for skills.
The detailed projections present a carefully considered view of what the future might look like, assuming that past patterns of behaviour and performance are continued over the longer term.
The results should be regarded as indicative of general trends and are not intended to be prescriptive. The results are intended for all those with an interest in the supply of and demand for skills. This includes individuals, employers, education and training providers, as well as those involved in providing careers information, advice and guidance.
