Agenda item 2: Workforce Partnership Council – Review and Next Steps
Decision
- The JEC to hold further discussions on the future direction of the WPC.
Action
- The WPC Support Team to arrange meetings with each social partner group to further discuss the future direction of the WPC. These discussions will then form the basis of a further paper to the JEC.
Agenda item 3: WPC Agreements Survey – update
Decision
- To summarise and determine next steps for the agreements strand of the WPC Work Plan.
Action
- The WPC Support Team to prepare a paper for the next JEC summarising the current position and setting out a proposal for next steps for the agreements strand of the WPC Work Plan.
Agenda item 4: Artificial Intelligence Working Group – update
Decision
- The JEC agreed the proposals outlined in the paper for this item.
Action
- The WPC AI Working Group to prepare an interim report for the WPC meeting on the 13 November if a final report has not been completed at this time.
- If an interim report is produced then this will be shared with the SPC by the WPC AI Working Group.
- The WPC Support Team to proceed with organising a webinar focused on AI and to extend the invitation to other forums beyond the WPC.
Agenda item 5: Communications Plan – Working Group update
Decision
- The JEC agreed the proposals outlined in the paper for this item.
- Liz Rogers to remain as the lead for the WPC Communications Group whilst a permanent nomination is decided by employer representatives.
Action
- The WPC Support Team to progress the recommendations in the paper.
- NHS employers to discuss providing a permanent nomination to lead the WPC Communications Group
Agenda item 6: Equalities Action Plans – update
Decision
- At this time the specific proposals in the paper for this item would not be progressed until further discussions took place.
- Welsh Government officials working on the refresh of the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan (ArWAP) to be invited to the JEC once the plan has been published. This will allow JEC members to better understand how the WPC can support the development of the Plan.
Action
- WPC Support Team to invite Welsh Government officials, working on the refresh of the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan (ArWAP) to the JEC (once the refreshed Plan is published).
