Capacity building
We are here to support the public sector in Wales and have developed a series of half-day training courses to help build analytical capacity. Are you interested in broadening your skill set? If so, get in touch to see how we can support you. Training courses include:
- a guide to presenting data
- producing and using summary statistics
- survey design and analysis
- planning for and delivering focus groups
- a guide to evaluation
Additionally, please get in touch if you have any bespoke training needs or ideas for further courses.

Thriving Places Wales update
We have recently updated our Thriving Places Wales tool with new data and scores for 2021. The tool measures the prevalence of conditions for well-being at a local authority geography, with a focus on individual and community well-being rather than financial well-being. It is reflective of conditions in a local authority area and is not a measure of the performance of any individual organisation, or groups of organisations.
The methodology of the tool remains unchanged, but we have added two new indicators for this year.
