Information about the Welsh Revenue Authority's social media accounts and use.

At the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA), we work in partnership to help people to pay the right tax at the right time. We want to have two-way conversations. This is part of what we call ‘Our Approach’.

We use our social media accounts to support and engage. Taxpayers, tax professionals and anyone with an interest in the WRA may find them useful.

We look forward to any comments and experiences you want to share. Please use our social media accounts to share your views, stay informed and build networks.

For your own safety online, never include personal information in a social media post. Your comments are visible to all.

Our social media accounts

We have 3 social media accounts:

General enquiries

If you ask us a general question, we’ll aim to reply to you during our working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). If your enquiry is outside of these hours, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible the next working day.

Specific tax enquiries

Do not submit specific tax enquiries to our social media accounts.

In all instances, we will ask you to contact our Helpdesk by:

  • calling 03000 254 000. Rydym yn croesawu galwadau yn Gymraeg / We welcome calls in Welsh
  • completing our online contact form

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm, excluding bank holidays.

Behaviour

We welcome your engagement. But all opinions and comments should add to the conversation. We do not condone any form of harassment.

We reserve the right to remove posts and an individual’s access to our accounts.

Connections

We may choose to ‘follow’, ‘like’, ‘share’ or make connections with other accounts. These connections do not equal an endorsement.

We do not hold any responsibility for the content of these posts or profiles.

Accessibility

We are an inclusive organisation. Our aim is for everyone to have the same access to our communications.

As a non-ministerial department of Welsh Government, we use the GOV.UK accessibility guidelines for social media. These guidelines are continually reviewed to meet the needs of users.

Language

Our social media posts are always shared in Welsh and English at the same time. Where this is not possible, we share Welsh first.

We will respond to your enquiry in the same language as your post.

Privacy

Information about how we process personal data, including via social media, can found in our privacy policy.

Feedback

We’re always looking at ways to improve our social media accounts. If you have any suggestions or queries, please contact us on news@wra.gov.wales
