Terms of reference
A summary of the Wales Data Leaders Network’s purpose.
Working collaboratively the network will:
- provide clear direction to public bodies in Wales, drawing on experts where required, on cross-cutting areas such as data standards, data sharing, open data and data ethics
- consider current barriers to using data effectively, recommend solutions or identify opportunities for joint working to take forward the data agenda
- agree an approach to increasing data maturity across public bodies in Wales.
- engage with the data community within Wales, by working closely with the network of data related communities of practice and interest
- help support the delivery of relevant strategies, such as the Data & Collaboration mission of the Digital strategy for Wales
- contribute to advice to Welsh Ministers on UK Government and international developments
- be leaders and advocates for data at senior levels of their organisation
