Les Eckford Member
Les has spent most of his professional life in government veterinary service (1979 to 2016), including within the Welsh Government as a veterinary adviser.
Now retired, Les represents Wales as regional officer of the British Veterinary Association since 2017.
He has extensive experience of engaging with a wide range of people, from farmers to senior policy makers and representatives of organisations, with diverse interests in animal health and welfare. Les interacts with veterinary students to raise awareness of animal welfare needs in food production animals.
