Management information update on coronavirus testing up to 31 May 2020.

Statistics on coronavirus testing:

  • authorised tests per day
  • number of individuals tested
  • number of tests on critical workers
  • location of tests

They have been published to provide the latest data on coronavirus testing, and coincide with the weekly testing update

The data are management information and are not official statistics, and are revised regularly. The Public Health Wales surveillance dashboard is updated daily with the most recent data, including revisions to the data published here.

On Thursday 4 June, Public Health Wales started to include a new series on tests by Welsh residents submitted through English laboratories. This includes samples from COVID-19 drive-through testing centres in England and home testing kits. These data will be added to future weekly updates.

Public Health Wales have also begun to publish revised data on the number of tests authorised per day following further reconciliation and quality assurance. This is based on the calendar date of authorisation so will differ from the series presented here which is based on test results authorised in the 24 hours to 1pm. Both sets of data will be included here next week.
