Most new buildings promoted or supported by us or our sponsored bodies must meet our sustainable building standards. This includes projects procured directly and indirectly.
Residential development
Residential ‘Extra Care’ schemes must meet the criteria for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) accreditation.
Non-residential development
A BREEAM rating or an equivalent quality assured scheme may be required based on building floor area.
