Twelve questions about attitudes to parenting practices and child discipline were asked of 1,022 adult respondents (of which 56% were parents).
This is the latest release
These were included in the November 2013 wave of the Wales Omnibus Survey.
The aim of the research was to collect data on:
- the methods used by parents in managing their children's behaviour
- the attitudes of both parents and the wider community towards physical punishment
- where parents obtain information that inform their practices.
The report presents a factual representation of the results and does not examine causal links.
