These results provide estimates for Wales as a whole for agricultural land use, livestock on farms and the number of people working on agricultural holdings taken as a snapshot of the survey day of 1 June 2021.
Main points
- The number of sheep and lambs in Wales is 9.5 million, a rise of 5.3% from 12 months ago.
- The number of cattle and calves stands at 1.1 million, a very small increase on the 2020 figure.
