1. Overview
The Welsh Government can cancel up to £1,500 of a student’s maintenance loan debt. This applies to students who took out a maintenance loan for a full-time undergraduate course.
The cancellation only applies to the first maintenance loan a student receives for a full-time undergraduate course. The cancellation will be applied when the student starts repaying their loan.
