Richard Lee QAM.FIMC
Richard joined the ambulance service in 1993 after service with the Royal Air Force. After qualifying as a Paramedic in 1995 Richard worked for ambulance services in Oxfordshire, London, Avon and Wales. Richard is a member of the College of Paramedics.
Richard holds the Fellowship in Immediate Medical Care from the Faculty of Immediate Medical Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh where he also an examiner. Richard is a Health Foundation Quality Improvement Fellow having completed the Generation Q programme in 2014.
Richard was the clinical and operational lead for the development of the NHS Wales Ambulance Clinical Model. This model has attracted interest from ambulance services both across the UK and internationally. He is currently the Director of Operations for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
In 2015 Richard was the ambulance and paramedicine representative on the Project Executive Team for the development of the NICE UK Major Trauma Guidelines.
Richard was awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal for distinguished ambulance service in the 2016 Queen's Birthday honours list.
