A&R Cleaning and Security Services

A&R Services, based in Bridgend, was established in 2010 by the husband-and-wife team of Ashley and Rayner Davies. They provide professional commercial cleaning security, washroom and facilities services to more than 250 clients across Wales and South West which include the likes of Welsh Water, Monmouthshire Building Society and Hugh James.

The business, like so many was affected by the pandemic which has seen A&R invest in new technologies and services. Being one of the first businesses in Wales to offer a bio-misting services which provides additional biosecurity against Covid, Norovirus and other infections.

The business is also focused towards innovation and are currently developing their own industry leading application. Since March 2020 this has meant A&R has been able to over double in size, taking their total number of employees to 350, directly employed by the business.

Fast-forward to 2022 which saw an exciting move for the business after a successful MBO, which was funded by the Development Bank of Wales, allowing the Welsh business to embark on their ambitious 5-year growth plan.

Charity and community are at the heart of the business – after launching their Feed Families for Christmas appeal in 2020, where they pledged to feed individuals or families that had been affected by the pandemic. With the support and generosity of other local businesses, they were able to help 120 local families in need.
