This is the latest release in the series: Shielding Patient List in Wales during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
Statistics on living patients on the SPL including:
- shielding patient counts by local authority and age band
- shielding patient counts by local health board and age band
- shielding patient counts by lower super output area and age band
These anonymous summary data have been published to provide the latest information on the shielded patients in Wales, they will be updated when there are significant changes to the SPL. Each List will be based on the latest version of the SPL as defined by the NHS Wales Informatics Service methodology.
The dataset includes regional and local data to allow for analysis, modelling and planning to take place to aid the response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The data are taken from management information and are subject to change. They have not been subject to the same validation processes undertaken for official statistics releases. However, they are provided to support transparency and understanding of the size of the SPL in Wales.
