We are seeking your views on whether minimum pricing for alcohol should continue beyond 1 March 2026. Also, what the minimum price for alcohol should be if it continues.
Consultation description
The Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Act 2018 was implemented on 2 March 2020. The act introduced a preferred level of 50p per unit, which was agreed by the National Assembly for Wales.
This consultation seeks your views on:
- whether minimum pricing for alcohol should continue beyond 1 March 2026
- what the minimum price for alcohol should be if it continues
