Alignment of the School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) and other Welsh Government-funded school holiday programmes.

The report explores the ongoing and potential future alignment of SHEP and relevant Welsh Government funded school holiday programmes and policy.

The history of SHEP is outlined and the impact of current cost-of-living pressures on holiday hunger is explored.

The report identifies the similarities and differences between SHEP and other programmes.

These programmes are compared through lenses which include eligibility, level of prescribed content and national consistency.

Barriers and issues facing these programmes are also explored, as are the potential impacts upon them of other proposed policy reforms.

The report makes some recommendations for overcoming barriers, for reducing risks of duplication of provision and for exploring models outside Wales.
