This report presents findings from research into the delivery of the Flying Start Early Language Development (ELD) entitlement.

Mixed methods were used to engage with practitioners, parents and Speech and Language Therapists. The review considers practitioners’ awareness, understanding and training in relation to ELD, models and structures of delivery, screening and assessment tools and engagement with families. The findings will be used to inform future guidance and delivery of the ELD entitlement in Flying Start.
