This report details the findings of research exploring evidence base in relation to the prevalence and impacts of second home ownership on communities across Wales. The research examines the evidence base relating to defining second homes, their impacts and related interventions.

The report builds upon a summary of evidence, published prior to completion of primary research carried out during this project. This report also details the findings from fieldwork undertaken with stakeholders whose work relates to second homes. The stakeholders include local authority planning and housing officers, community councils, campaigning groups, estate agents, housing associations, Senedd members, and academics.
