We are seeking views on enhancements to our TB eradication programme.
Consultation description
We are consulting on measures to be included in a refreshed programme.
In 2017, after consultation, we published a TB eradication programme and delivery plan.
This new consultation includes proposals on:
- the TB testing programme to help reduce the risk of the spread of TB through cattle movement.
- informed purchasing and its aim to encourage keepers to provide TB information about cattle they wish to sell
- keepers’ purchasing decisions
- payments for cattle slaughtered as a result of TB.
