This Rapid Evidence Review examines young people’s thinking and behaviours and ‘what works’ in terms of supporting young people who are not in employment, education, or training.
This is the latest release
The Rapid Evidence Review contributes to the evidence base underpinning the Young Person’s Guarantee (YPG), which is the Welsh Government’s key commitment to provide everyone aged 16 to 24, living in Wales, with support to gain a place in education or training, or help to get into work or self-employment. The review also complements the ongoing Evaluability Assessment and Process Evaluation of the YPG.
The Rapid Evidence Review consists of two reports.
Supporting young people who are not in employment, education, or training to achieve their goals: young people’s thinking and behaviours
Report One focuses upon the characteristics associated with a higher risk of disengaging from employment, education, and training (EET) and considers how these characteristics can create barriers to engaging with EET.
Rapid Evidence Review: supporting young people who are not in employment, education, or training to achieve their goals: what works
Report Two aims to ensure that the YPG is informed by best available evidence of what works in supporting young people who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET).
