July to September 2020
- 2,990 Welsh resident smokers were treated by smoking cessation services.
- 0.67% of the estimated smoking population of Wales made a quit attempt via smoking cessation services.
During the current financial year (April 2020 to September 2020)
- 7,410 Welsh resident smokers were treated by smoking cessation services.
- 1.65% of the estimated smoking population of Wales made a quit attempt via smoking cessation services.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) validated
Data for Welsh treated smokers who were Carbon Monoxide (CO) validated as quitting at 4 weeks post quit date is available up to March 2020. Due to the COVID-19 transmission risk associated with the procedure, CO validation will no longer be carried out. This means we will no longer be publishing data for this measure.
