Details
It is only applicable to individuals requiring nursing care in a care home.
The provision of FNC derives from Section 49 of the Health and Social Care Act 2001. In relation to Wales, Section 47(4) and (5) of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 supersedes this.
It excludes nursing care from the services provided by local authorities.
