Main points (provisional data)
In October 2018 to September 2019:
- 64% of waste was reused/recycled/composted, up from 63% the year ending September 2018.
In July to September 2019:
- 66% of waste was reused/recycled/composted. This was an increase compared with the same quarter in the previous year (64%).
- 401,000 tonnes of waste were generated, a 1% increase on the same quarter of 2018.
