About us
The Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales was established by the Welsh Government.
The commission had 2 broad objectives.
The first was to consider and develop options for fundamental reform of the constitutional structures of the United Kingdom, in which Wales remains an integral part. The second was to consider and develop all progressive principal options to strengthen Welsh democracy and deliver improvements for the people of Wales.
The commission presented its final report to the Welsh Government on 18 January 2024.
The Welsh Government responded to the commission's recommendations on 12 March 2024.
