This report presents findings from fieldwork undertaken between July and September 2023.
The aim of the research was to identify the future needs of prospective homebuyers in Wales, understand the place of Help to Buy – Wales and examine the key facilitators of, or obstacles to, success in the current Help to Buy – Wales initiative and other housing affordability schemes.
The research findings focus on characteristics of purchasers and homes bought, views of home buyers and prospective buyers, housebuilder and lenders perspectives and other jurisdictions.
The report also includes considerations of the future of Help to Buy-Wales.
