Main points April to June 2020
- Between 1 April and 30 June 2020, 172 property purchases were completed using a Welsh Government shared equity loan.
- During the quarter, the value of properties purchased totalled £34.8 million whilst the value of equity loans totalled £6.9 million.
- The mean property purchase price using the scheme during this quarter was £202,149 with a mean equity loan value of £39,917.
- Between 1 April and 30 June 2020 there were 16 completed purchases of leasehold properties, all of which were flats.
Main points July to September 2020
- Between 1 July and 30 September 2020, 333 property purchases were completed using a Welsh Government shared equity loan.
- This brings the total number of purchases under Help to Buy - Wales since its introduction on 2 January 2014 to 10,985.
- During the quarter, the value of properties purchased totalled £73.1 million whilst the value of equity loans totalled £14.5 million.
- At 30 September 2020 there were 1,025 applications for loans still outstanding.
- The mean property purchase price using the scheme during this quarter was £219,646, with a mean equity loan value of £43,405.
- Between 1 July and 30 September 2020 there were 15 completed purchases of leasehold properties, all of which were flats.
- The majority of homes purchased through the scheme have been for first time buyers, accounting for 75% of all completed purchases to date.
