Healthy Child Wales Programme (contacts with children): April to June 2024

• Overall, 79.8% of eligible children received a Healthy Child Wales contact in the quarter April to June 2024, this is the highest quarter on record.
• The latest data shows a lower percentage of eligible children received contacts in April to June 2024 than in January to March 2024 for more than half of the contact points, however the contacts at 12 weeks,16 weeks and 3.5 years set new record highs.
• Particular focus on the contact point at 3.5 years shows there was an increase this quarter to 72.2%, 2.2 percentage points up on the previous quarter, an increase of 15.8 percentage points on the same quarter last year, and 37.1 percentage points on the first quarter for which there is comparable data (October to December 2016).
