Health and Safety Forum meeting: 12 October 2020

1. Welcome and introductions
The Chair reflected on the September meeting and emphasised the continued importance of action to ensure workplaces are safe for workers, customers and visitors.
2. Enforcement and inspection activity
The Health and Safety Executive and local authorities outlined their approach to compliance and enforcement, including an update on their visit, inspection and enforcement activity. There was discussion on how forum members could build a shared understanding of COVID-19 regulations.
3. Lessons Learnt from COVID-19 transmission in workplaces
Forum members discussed a paper on lessons learned and provided views on guidance for workplace testing of employees.
4. Focus of next meeting and close
The forum agreed to meet again in November and invited members to submit their suggestions for agenda topics.
