Results are provided at an overall GB level and individually for visits taken to destinations in England, Scotland and Wales.

Main points

  • There has been a decrease in the volume of tourism day visits taken in Wales during 2019, with 87 million trips taken (a decrease of 9%).
  • The overall spend fell by 14% in 2019 with an expenditure of £3.4 billion.
