Public rights of way

We have over 20,000 miles (33,000 km) of public rights of way. We cater for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and motor vehicle users. For the rules on who can use what, visit gov.uk.

Access land

We have 60,000 hectares of access land. Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, a fifth of the country is now mapped as accessible to walkers. For more information, visit Natural Resources for Wales (NRW)

National cycle network

We have over 1,200 miles of the National Cycle Network. Visit Sustrans for more information.
