Chwarae Teg is a pan-Wales organisation created to maximise women’s contribution to the Welsh economy.
This is the latest release
Initially established as a consortium of public sector agencies, it is now a free standing company limited by guarantee with charitable status. Chwarae Teg’s head office is in Cardiff and it has always maintained a presence across Wales.
The former Welsh Office and Welsh Assembly Government have provided core funding support based on an agreed Business Plan since the organisation’s inception in 1992.
Following an audit recommendation made in March 2008, we commissioned an internal consultant to evaluate the use of Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills’ core funding support for Chwarae Teg.
