An independent assessment of the support offered to farmers and the agricultural sector as part of the Farming Connect Service.
This is not the latest release in the series: Evaluation of the knowledge transfer, innovation and advisory services programme
Series information:
Main findings
- The programme has performed well and is ‘well known’, ‘trusted’ and ‘well respected’ in the sector in Wales. While engagement with the programme has been good, a majority of individuals have not taken advantage of the full suite of activities.
- The range of support and flexibility offered by the programme was positive although some challenges to delivery were noted.
- Farming connect plays an important role in creating the foundations for change and is leading to small scale incremental changes over a period of time.
- A quantitative assessment of impact was not possible at this time. However, Farming Connect is delivering outcomes that would not have been achieved without it.
