These Directions enable a person, detained in any of the relevant public sector prisons, to be treated as usually resident for the period of their detention at the address of the prison for the purposes of regulation 2(2) of the Local Health Board (Directed Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2009. These Directions are being made under sections 12(3) and 204 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006.
