Framework updates.
eInvoicing
We have extended our current Basware agreement until 30 September 2023. We recently engaged with stakeholders in preparation for a new arrangement that will only include eInvoicing once the current agreement ends. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest has passed. We will utilise G-Cloud 13 for the new arrangement.
Digital Action Plan
Pipeline planning functionality user testing: we want your views
We expect the new pipeline planning functionality to be available on Sell2Wales in July 2023. The user-testing group will take place once a month from February and will take up 2 hours per month. To note, we need to maintain the same group for the duration of the testing period.
If you would like to be involved in user testing the pipeline planning functionality, e-mail: ICTProcurement@gov.wales.
Policy mapping tool
We have now completed the procurement for a supplier to build the policy mapping tool and we expect the build to start in February. The policy mapping tool is due to be built by September 2023 with a rollout following afterwards.
Procurement Reform – Transparency
We are currently drafting the future solution architecture which sets out the technical solution for the new transparency requirements being introduced by procurement reform legislation. We will be recording a show and tell which will cover where we currently are for eProcurement user group attendees early in February. The future architecture solution architecture will be subject to continual review and change until we receive the final technical details from UK government.
Procurement Centre of Excellence (PCoE) – Alpha stage underway!
The key focus of the PCoE pilot is on providing practical support to Welsh public sector procurement teams to help us reach our Net Zero goal, and building on the commercial and procurement Capability and Leadership Learning Programme. The suppliers leading on the PCoE recently hosted a show and tell event which is available to view here. The previous show and tell event which took place in December is available on the Business Wales YouTube channel.
User testing for branding and priority requirements is also underway for the PCoE. If you want to take part, please complete this form.
