Item 2: First Minister’s items

Wales TUC: 50th Anniversary

2.1 The First Minister advised Cabinet that he, along with the Deputy Minister for Social Partnership had just returned from an event in Newport, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Wales Trades Union Congress.

The Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Bill

2.2 It was noted that the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Bill was expected to receive Royal Assent later that week.

Co-operation Agreement

2.3 The First Minister informed Cabinet that he had met with the interim leader of Plaid Cymru, Llyr Gruffydd MS, the previous week, where both parties had confirmed their commitment to the Co-operation Agreement.

Item 3: Senedd business

3.1 Cabinet considered the Plenary grid and noted that the oral statement on Economic Developments in North Wales had been renamed to Strengthening ties with Ireland and the North-West of England. There were no votes scheduled for Tuesday and voting time would be around 6:25pm on Wednesday.
