Item 2: First Minister's items

The Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Spring Statement

2.1 The First Minister reminded Cabinet that the Chancellor of the Exchequer would be presenting his Spring Statement to Parliament on Wednesday. In preparation for this, the Minister for Finance and Local Government would be issuing a written statement on Tuesday to set out the Welsh Government’s expectations, while indicating that the formal response would issue on Thursday, due to industrial action by the PCS and Prospect Trade Unions. There would be a need to carefully consider the impact of the Spring Statement.

Item 3: Senedd business

3.1 Cabinet considered the Plenary grid and noted that voting time would be around 5:50pm on Tuesday and the Senedd would not be meeting on Wednesday due to industrial action by Commission staff.
